Poyntz-Wrights Making The News As We Speak!

The aim of this page is to keep you up to date with what is going on in the world of Poyntz-Wright as we speak.

Tom Released!!!

Tom has been released from Bristol prison. He gave a quick press conference in a local park and was very disappointed that not a single fan turned up to cheer his release. He looked very tired and as though he had not enjoyed being in prison at all. His hair has begun to recede at an alarming rate and he looked very pale indeed. His choice of clothing was also very odd.

He gave the following short statement;

'I am pleased to have been released from prison and I regret the actions that led to my imprisonment. I just want to go home now and try and piece together the pieces of my broken life. My wife, Abi, has left me, and I feel very alone right now. i hope that i will be able to pull through this and hopefully be back on TV before too long. As for now I am going to move into my boyfriend's flat and rest.'

The boyfriend Tom speaks of can be seen in the picture too, he is the policeman on the left handside, and the two met wen he arrested Tom earlier this year.

Tom's on the move...to prison

Somehow it has all been kept quiet but we canexclusively reveal that Tom Poyntz-Wright has been sentenced to four months in prison! The ex-film, TV, music, and radio star's life has reached an unbelievably new low-ebb. He was charged with numerous offences including Drunk and Disorderly. he has been sent to bristol Prison and will apparently be put in the room next to Gary Glitter, an old friend.

No job offers yet

Still no sign of Tom appearing on either the TV or the radio in the near future. Rumours abound that his alcoholism has reached new levels, and he was seen by some members of the public parading around Exeter high street with a large traffic cone screaming 'Hitler, Hitler, Hitler...'

A cone similar to the one stolen by Tom Poyntz-Wright

TOM SACKED!!!!

It appears that Tom was right about his Orchard FM job simply being a temporary thing, but as it turns out not by choice! He was yesterday sacked by the bosses at Orchard FM, this is a statement from them explaining why;

'Why has Tom been sacked? How long have you got? the man is arrogant, a drunked, he plays terrible music again and again, he turns up late, if at all!!! he seems to live in a World of his own and in this World he is some big time film star who can do as he pleases, well it's time he realised that the World doesn't need or want him. He's finished.'

Tom had a few words to say also; 'It was always a temporary thing and I was blatantly sacked before I left as the station needed the publicity, fair play to them really as they were about to lose the biggest star they ever had, and ever will have. The station is poor and I was able to bring a little class to the proceedings for a short time, and thus I will not be suprised to see a huge drop in their listening figures very soon! Right I'm off to the pub...bye.'

There you have it, Tom is jobless but still upbeat!

Tom back on the air at last!

After weeks of speculation it has been announced today that Tom will be joining the crew of Somerset's Orchard FM. Tom will take over the early morning show from 2am until 6am. He is said to be pleased but he is adament that this will only be a temporary thing until he gets back into films and TV.

And now the album follows suit

Tom Poyntz-Wright's career is in tatters today after it became clear that his first solo album, 'The Cavern of Love', has been a complete disaster. The record has apparently sold less than 1000 copies throughout the world, a truly dreadful performance. It has also emerged that his record company, Neb Ewor Productions, have terminated his contract. Speaking earlier their director had this to say, 'It has been fun working with Tom over the last year but we feel that due to the poor sales of his album we would be foolish to release anything else, especially if it was as crap as his last effort. This experience has taught us a harsh lesson, that you cannot bank on someone's good looks to sell a record. We wish Tom the best of luck for the future.' Tom was unavailable for comment today and unfortunately rumours are abound that he has turned to alcohol after suffering the dual shock of album and film flops.

As the above photo, taken yesterday shows, Tom and his friends have been having huge drinking binges over the last few nights.

Film Flops!

Tom Poyntz-Wright was said to be disappointed but optimistic despite the news that his latest film, 'Fisting the gerbil', has turned out to be the biggest flop of the year so far. The film cost a whopping 50 million to make but its poor performance, grossing just over 22 million worldwide, has caused its makers, Fowl Productions, to fold. It is now uncertain as to whether the film 'Ace' will make it to the cinema now that Fowl productions are no more.

Fans joy as another film is announced!

It has just emerged that not only will 'Fisting The Gerbil' be released in the summer, but also 'The Ace' will appear in cinemas around september.

Following the success of films such as 'Saving Private Ryan' and 'The Thin Red Line' Tom Poyntz-Wright stars in 'The Ace', a film about the war against Hitler in the air. The film sees Tom take the role of Todd Stalker, an American pilot who achieves hero status due to his large number of successful dogfights against the Germans. However, things get complicated when he falls for another pilot, the only female pilot of the war, and he must choose between her and his wife back in England. The film makers promise lots of action, special effects, and even some romance in what could be one of the hits of the autumn.

We managed to get a few words from Tom on the film: 'It's a cracking film, full of action and spectacular special effects. There's even a few sex scenes, I mean there was no way I was going to do a film with Sandra Bullock and not get to see her in the nuddy!! If you see one film this year see 'The Ace', but if you can go to another film don't forget 'Fisting The Gerbil' is released over the summer!'

The latest news from the world of Poyntz-Wright is that The Poyntz-Wright Four are no more! Due to having too many other commitments the band have decided to call it a day already. It is not all bad news though as Tom Poyntz-Wright is set to embark on a solo career.

This is a copy of the promotional poster for the new single, Nuclear, that is aimed at promoting World harmony and the end of the threat of nuclear war.

Tom enjoying a pint.

Speaking yesterday Tom told the World 'I worry daily about the threat of war and I want more than anything to be able to use my fame and good looks to help wipe out this threat of war that seems to hang over our heads at the end of the 20th century.'

Yet Another EXCLUSIVE!

Not only is Tom officially no longer single, it appears that he has also formed a new band. Described as a new Jackson Five the Poyntz-Wright Four will combine classic covers with new songs written by the band themselves.

This is the front cover of the first single, on which a member of Boyzone is present as a guest vocalist. The new single is called 'Building cardboard dogs' and will be released next month. Hopefully a tour, album, and an interview will come soon.
